Myrorna, Adolf Fredriks kyrkogata, City

Vintage bargains! Not trendy, but cheap. They also sell furniture, and a lot of their stuff has ended up furnishing the hostel! Just around the corner from City BackPackers.

Weekday, Pub, Drottninggatan

Most of the biggest Swedish brands but also cheaper clothes such as Cheap Monday and Weekdays own brand; MTWTFSS. Within spitting distance from the hostel. Na, but it takes like five minutes to get there.

Upplandsgatan

The best concentrated antique shopping in town is found right outside the hostel. Stroll Upplandsgatan in direction Odenplan and look at stores specializing in functionalist furnitures, plastic from the 70ies, Art Deco, lace, china and other cool stuff.

Comics

Seriegrossisten at Upplandsgatan 87 is probably the best comics shop in Stockholm. Everything from Swedish comics to USA imported stuff.

Monki, Sergelgatan 16-18

Swedish design clothes at reasonable prices!

H&M, Hamngatan, City

Good fashion for tight budgets! Sweden is crawling with H&M stores of course, but this is the biggest and the best. Here you will find all the H&M departments and brands, ladies, gentlemen, children, Divided, Trend etcetera, as well as underwear, swimwear and beauty products.

Designtorget, Kungsgatan 52

New independent Swedish design. Jewellery, interior design, books and things that don’t look like they serve any purpose at all but may turn out to be essential. This is fun shopping!

Västerlånggatan, Gamla Stan

If you can’t survive another day without a stuffed polyester moose and a plastic Viking helmut, this is the place to go! (If you are shopping for a Dala horse though, they will be cheaper at the department store Åhlens, and the cheapest ones we sell in the City BackPacker reception!)

The locals of Stockholm see no reason to go shopping on Västerlånggatan, but it’s jammed with tourists all year round.

The English book shop, lilla Nygatan 11, Gamla Stan

A good selection of Swedish authors translated to English, as well as books from the rest of the world. Desent prices, laid back atmosphere and good service by true book lovers. This is were you buy your paper back copy of Karlsson on the roof by Astrid Lindgren!
